Repository templates are now implemented but still need the ability to auto construct repositories from templates.   See bug# 150430 for background.

Maybe template extension point could have a flag like "autocreate" or something...

It does, the optional boolean attribute is called addAutomatically.  I like "autocreate" more, so Rob, consider changing it.

Hmm. I think it would be a good idea to add eclipse.org by default.

Yes, but that's currently a minor driver because users can't submit bugs without credentials and need to set those up anyway.
