Description Eugene Kuleshov CLA 2006-07-28 12:50:32 EDT
Possible options:

-- From an url
-- Using wizard: select repository + issue id
-- Dialog similar to "Open Type" or "Open Resource"

Last one would allow to open issue without switching to the Task List view and can serve as a really quick search, in case if issue is already in the Task List (eg. in one of the queries or closed in the archive).

For this one, there is the "Add Existing Task" action in context menu. Could it be improved by turning it into a command and adding a keybinding?

For the last, it seems we had the same idea. See bug#152234.

It is for open task editors, so it should not add task to the list.

Rob: we should have a UI discussion on-report before you tackle this one, since there are quite a few ways of doing it. We also need to consider the overlap between the Task List's filter, e.g. a partial solution is to have a keybinding like Ctrl+Alt+Shift+T open and put focus into the Find bar of the Task List, effectively supporting the interaction of Ctrl+Shift+R.

Eugene, can we mark this task invalid since resolution of bug#152234?
