Description Barys Dubauski CLA 2006-07-20 13:47:24 EDT
1. Create project A in your Eclipse workspace
2. Share the project in CVS (Team | Share Project...)
3. Now, copy project A (Ctrl-C) and paste it with new name (Ctrl-V), e.g. project B.
PROBLEM ===> project B is created *already connected to CVS!?*. It is also using project A's location as path in CVS

EXPECTED ===> project B shouldn't be connected to any repository as it is a brand new one. User prompt would be nice to notify developer that the new project is not connected to CVS.

The bug is quite severe as it may lead to CVS repository corruption for developers that are unaware of the fact that A and B point to the same repository path.

This doesn't appear to be in the right Bugzilla component. Community/CVS is for the CVS server on dev.eclipse.org.

Moving.
