Description Alexander Kellett CLA 2006-07-11 05:06:40 EDT
Very strange issue... but its affecting me greatly as my return key has broken, so i've remapped another to it ;)

Depending on the focus, (behaviour i) apple-f (find in file), vs behaviour ii) apple-l (goto line) in an editor), either i) no action, but the key event is seen, or ii) a space appears to be inserted.

Expected behaviour of pressing the key mapped to return would be the action associated with pressing return, i) go to typed in line, ii) search for word.

Ukelele can be used for applying such a mapping.

Thanks,

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
