After upgrading to Eclipse 3.2 (M20060609-1217), I see the problem that the progress view flickers constantly during a work in progress. i.e. rebuilding workspace or cvs-up,

I don't see this problem in previous versions such as 3.1.2

I found similar bugs 108556 and 110512, but it seems this is a new problem.

yes, the progress view flickers incredibly (on Linux GTK at least) thus making itself not usable. You cannot really read enything - it flickers too badly.
