12. after restarting, I was able to install Graphical Modeling Framework (Callisto Edition) 1.0.0.v20060609-1400 Still, this is a usability issue as not everyone will have the patience (or forethought?) to install prereqs (eg., EMF, GEF, JDT) then try to install higher-level projects (like GMF) thereafter. Might be worth seeing if this happens when you start with the full 123M Eclipse SDK instead of just the 35M base platform install. Further... 1. download eclipse-SDK-M20060609-1217-win32.zip (the full 123M SDK, not the 35M platform) 2. - 11. (as above) This time, no error when clicking 'Select Required'. I notice too that if you go to the callisto site and select "I build plugins...", you're told to start with the SDK, not the Platform Runtime... so perhaps this is a WORKSFORME? http://www.eclipse.org/callisto/plugin-dev.php Then again, the other starting point 'Customize Your Callisto Experience', suggests you can start from the Platform Runtime: http://www.eclipse.org/callisto/custom.php So, maybe not. Comments? I think these "select required" problems belong in update proper. I think there's several there allready. In some cases, I think the features don't spec things in the right way, but in other cases, its due to update manager, I believe. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 148038 *** wrong duplicate number |
