Automate more of the existing manual testsuites with the automation framework.  Example of testsuites, which can be automated: Platform.Communication.RAMasterPollInterval.testsuite, Platform.Execution.Native_CBE.testsuite, Monitor.Analysis.StandaloneGLA.testsuite, etc..

Approved by the AG for TPTP 4.5 with the following comments:

-Bugzilla needs to be assigned to an active committer (currently Navid).
-Why is there a documentation size for this enhancement?
-This needs to be done early in 4.5 (i2).
-This enhancement should be coordinated with the test automation
initiative.  As part of this initiative, we are moving away from the test
server (

).  As such, Platform.Execution.Native_CBE.testsuite and
Monitor.Analysis.StandaloneGLA.testsuite should be automated using JUnit
and the remaining manual test suite should be automated using the test
automation tools being provided by the test automation initiative.

Not sure this should even be a standalone bug. We do have new automation since the original log, in particular Jonathan's work on control channel and peer monitor tests.

Of the ones listed:
RAMasterPollInterval involves changing the config and restarting on the remote host and watching the refreshed agent list on the workbench. It is also in my understanding part of the backwards compatibility layer. I wonder if the effort to automate will be greater than the current execution effort.

Native_CBE seems to be a one line execution test. Should be added to the appropriate junit suite if such a thing. Otherwise the effort to launch is the same regardless of automated or not.

StandaloneGLA contains download and installation as test execution steps.

Suggest to close this and create new logs for Native_CBE and StandaloneGLA and assign to test or project owners.

As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant enhancements/defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this enhancement/defect is verified/closed by the Project Lead since this enhancement/defect has been resolved and unverified for more than 1 year and considered to be fixed. If this enhancement/defect is still unresolved and reproducible in the latest TPTP release (http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/), please re-open.
