patch for pointing to release update site... none

Description David Williams CLA 2006-06-14 09:14:20 EDT
Probably from installing from anywhere :)
I see the updateSiteName is spec'd a number of times ...
I'd suggest once, for RC5, pointing to your to-be-permenant location.

Tom - did you have a final update site declared for RC that we can use for RC5?
Comment 2 Steven R. Shaw CLA 2006-06-14 10:29:09 EDT
We're also going to rename the release update site to be consistent with other projects:
i.e.
http://download.eclipse.org/tools/gef/update-site/releases/site.xml

Reminder to myself to update the GEF wiki with new update site information.

May wait until after RC5 before releasing this...

Why wait? I think most try to approach "release candidates" as
"this really could be released, if necessary" ... especially RC5?

The only release I was thinking of waiting was based on feedback I got on the
Callisto call which indicated projects should wait until GA before releasing
bits to the release update site...

Oh, yes, ... I didn't mean to actually put code there ... I thought we were just talking about the URL in the feature.xml file ... and most projects have been putting in "the future" URL, even though that means it doesn't actually work right now.

Thanks for clarifying.

Fixed feature.xml(s) to point to new release update site:
