Description Noel Grandin CLA 2006-06-13 05:43:10 EDT
It would be nice if there were some keyboard shortcuts for switching betweening the output in the console view.

I nominate Alt-1, Alt-2, Alt-3, etc. to match up with the numbering in the "Display Selected Console" combo-box.

Useful when I am debugging multiple programs running at the same time.

A further enhancement to this idea would be that after a switch, the new output would be temporarily pinned until the key combination is released.

This could be implemented by the console in 3.4 using the PageSwitcher API.

Bug 220611 has a patch that implements the general page switching commands from bug 146623. That would allow you to switch more easily but does not offer direct access (Al+1, ...) nor the "temporarily pin" feature.

Marking as works for me based on the feature added in bug 220611. Not sure how the temporary pin would work, but I'm not sure it's required.
