Its not clear to me when a branch gets added to the list of branches I know
about. Today I was able to replace with -> tag for a branch that the project
was never branched on. I did however previously branch other projects with
that branch. Did it remember it as a branch for *all* projects?

I'm not sure how I got that branch in the list but I'm pretty sure I didn't
branch that project.

Branches are associated with a repo location. That explains the current repo
view structure. We've often talked about the current lack of consistance
between how version tags (associated with a project) and branch tags
(associated with a location) are managed.

I thought that we had decided to make this post 2.0?

Branches are now associated with individual projects
