I forgot to mention that I am using version 3.2RC5 It is up to each model to decide what Edit menu items makes sense and what the resulting operation should be. For instance, a rename on a Java class should launch a ava rename refactoring. The resource model contributes the basic Edit actions (rename, copy, move, delete) for resources but the Java model does not constibute similar operations for Java elements. As a workaround, you can select the Workspace model from the Model selection dropdown menu in the view toolbar (third from left). The view will then only contain resources and the Edit menu will be available on all entries in the view. I'm not sure if I want make the context menu much longer with Java actions. After all this the synchronization view and it's easier to understand when there are mostly actions related to synchronization. Michael, what's you're opinion? How exactly can I contribute actions? This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie. |
