Description Dmitry B. Khlonin CLA 2002-04-19 07:52:51 EDT
I have writing some little useful applications for win32 and want to use
Java-SWT for multiplatform support... Then I use NotifyIcon method of win32 API
for creating tray icon for these applications (f.e. like WinAMP, ICQ and
others)... I heard - this concept of GUI is using also in Motif and GTK desktops
- and very glad to see support for it in SWT library

I agree that this would be useful. We are quite busy here right now, though.
This probably won't make it in unless you (or someone else) provides a (good)
implementation.
Comment 2 Dmitry B. Khlonin CLA 2002-04-22 05:48:07 EDT
I will try at least on Win32 platform - but this may have problems with
implementation on other platforms...
Comment 3 Mike Wilson CLA 2002-04-22 10:46:42 EDT
One of the things you need to do when you are coming up with the API is at
least take a superficial look at the other platforms and make sure that it is
implementable on them.
