Hey Rob, if you would like to do this great! If not you can either send it back to me and I will close it as WONTFIX or close it yourself. Marking as future for since it is certainly a feature that would be nice to have but there are no current plans to implement. *** Bug 210575 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** As Jason stated in comment #1 (and since the J2EE Module Dependencies page is going away), this is a WONTFIX. Can you provide more detail regarding the coming changes that will replace J2EE Module Dependencies page? Please see bug 290041 as a starting point. |
From the EAR project's J2EE Module Dependencies page, I should be able to select an ejb or war archive, located either inside my EAR project or located externally, and have it automatically be added to the EAR's application.xml file. I think it would make sense just to have Add Jar... or Add External Jar... detect that the selected archive is an ejb or war and add the entry to application.xml. Alternatively, we could add specific buttons ("Add EJB Jar..." & "Add Web Archive..."), or relabel the existing buttons to be something like "Add Module Archive...". The lack of this feature feels like a defect, but I'll mark this as an enhancement request.
