<cde:tctdetail> Testcase: Project: WSW32 Component: Priority: 2 Subject: TVT - zh: Shortcut key problems in the menu. Article ID: 319 Originator: zhouxu@cn.ibm.com </cde:tctdetail> In the Show View shortcut menu, a mnemonic is added to the first character of the view's name programmatically. This is obviously not appropriate for some languages. Tod, what component of the UI would this bug belong to? FYI: This behavior was introduced in 3.2 Workbench I should think <cde:tctdetail> Testcase: Project: WSW32 Component: CDE - Platform/UI Priority: 2 Subject: TVT - zh: Shortcut key problems in the menu. Article ID: 319 Originator: zhouxu@cn.ibm.com </cde:tctdetail> FYI: bug 135404 requests the ability to add mnemonics to the shortcut menu items. HI, Another extra underscore problem found on 22.001009. Please take a look at the attached screen shot. You can get it by running the steps below. Steps to reproduce: Click the File>New>Project.. These are all the same problem. No need to attach additional screen shots. Select project ?P? in ?Package Explorer?, right click and select New Select project ?P? in ?Package Explorer?, right click and select New Target fix is service pack 3.2.1. Assigning, to change status from New Select project ?P? in ?Package Explorer?, right click and select New Cam and Kit, is there a functional problem here or does it just not look right? If it is the latter, I think we can defer to 3.2.1. If it is the former my opinion would depend on the seriousness of the functional problem. Select project ?P? in ?Package Explorer?, right click and select New Just make a note that the same problem also occurred on Jave Property Editor (testcase 29.001420). The reproduced steps are as below & pls refer to the attached screen capture. Step: Double click on the eclipse.exe icon Click OK Switch to the Java perspective (Window> Open Perspective> Java). Go to File > New... > Project... Expand the Java option Select Java Project Click Next Type in a name (for example, VEtest). Click Finish. A new Java project is created and accessible from the ?Package Explorer?. Select File->New...->Other... In the New dialog that appears select and expand the Java option on the left. Then expand the AWT option. Expand AWT option Select the Frame Visual Class option Click Next This brings up the New Visual Class Wizard titled New Java Visual Class. Name it MyFrame Select Finish to open the Visual Editor. From the Palette or toolbar, click on to launch the choose bean dialog. Clear the text and type JButton. When JButton shows up in the list below. Select JButton Click OK Click on the West region of the frame Click on the Properties tab at the bottom of the application. Click on the Show Advanced Properties button to toggle the Show Advanced Properties button on the property sheet to on.. Select the background property () and press the button at the right to bring up the Color editor. Created attachment 42997 [details]

The bug referred to in comments 19 and 20 should be logged as a separate bug against VE as it is not a component of the Platform UI. Created attachment 43147 [details]

updated swt example with TW strings
The SWTExample was attached to the wrong bug. Should have been attached to bug 141387 Cam and Kit, I think we still need an answer to the question in comment 17. This problem is in the following areas Show In New Menu Open Perspective Show View Created attachment 43630 [details]
