Bug 138885

Summary: [junit] JUnit view unnecessarily reveals selected
Product: [Eclipse Project] JDT Reporter: Tobias Widmer <tobias_widmer>
Component: UIAssignee: Markus Keller <markus.kell.r>
Status: CLOSED WONTFIX QA Contact:
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Version: 3.2
Target Milestone: ---
Hardware: PC
OS: All
Whiteboard: stalebug

Description Tobias Widmer CLA 2006-04-27 07:10:11 EDT
N20060426-0010

Steps to reproduce:
- Use Show Failures Only, Scroll Lock Mode and do not show test hiearchy
- Run a test suite with many failing tests
- As soon as some failures appear, select one
- When the view gets scroll bars, scroll down to the last recently failed one

-> When a new test has been executed, the JUnit view insists in revealing the selected test failure, regardless of Scroll Lock mode or whether the test failed or not
-> This revealing is unnecessary and causes unwanted scrolling

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
