This came up on bug 135107. It seems WTP defines a HTML content type to handle two related (but different) content types: HTML and XHTML. That is a problem for people that are specifically interested on the more strict XHTML, as there is no way of associating a feature to one but not the other.

Is there a strong reason for that?

No, no strong or technical reason. Will just take some time to "get it right", and make sure our code is fixed up to handle it.

This is part of a mass update to close out all stale WTP bugs which are in the resolved state without an appropriate targeted version. If you feel this bug was closed inappropriately, please reopen.
