Hm I can not reproduce in any case btw. Here is a more detailed "Steps to reproduce" 1. Open Package Explorer and select an Item of the Tree 2. Show View > General > Progress The selection of the package explorer is not shown in gray, but still as it had focus. Maybe the problem is, that the Progress View is not implementing setFocus() in IViewPart, when no job is running? Ben Something strange is going on here. I was able to reproduce strangeness in today's nightly build. We are not handling the inactive case properly but using the same colour for both. This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. As such, we're closing this bug. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug.
