From bug 133351, try to get the quick fix for the two problems.
None of them make sense as they don't fix the problem.

I'd like to get a consistent range, but I want to be sure that:
1) quickfix could be helpful in this case
2) quickfix would behave the same between case 1 and case 2.

the quick fix hasn't been designed for gthis scenario (it rather solves the 'unused variable case). No problem if you 'break' the quick fix here...

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.
