It would be nice if there was a wildcard/regular expression list that could be
setup to filter out CVS tags you don't want to display in the various
dialogs/views of eclipse (i.e. 'Select a Tag' dialog and 'CVS Repository' view).

Over time the number of tags that exist in CVS for a given module and/or file
can become excessive, and the ability to only see tags you care about would be
a great addition to Eclipse.

Filtering by tag creation date would also be benefitial. Unfortunately, this is
complicated as there is no timestamp associated with tags. However, a rough
estimate of a tag creation time can be obtained from a file that is modified on
a regular basis.

A fix has been released to HEAD that supports filtering of tags displayed for
selection. Works in a similar manner to the filter in the Open Types dialog.
