Bug 134478

Summary: [CellEditors] Long string being edited in property sheet is not scrolled (like on Windows) so it's hard to edit it
Product: [Eclipse Project] Platform Reporter: Dmitry Stadnik <dimzzy>
Component: UIAssignee: Platform UI Triaged <platform-ui-triaged>
Status: CLOSED WONTFIX QA Contact:
Severity: normal
Priority: P3 Keywords: helpwanted
Version: 3.2
Target Milestone: ---
Hardware: Macintosh
OS: Mac OS X - Carbon (unsup.)
Whiteboard: stalebug

Description Dmitry Stadnik CLA 2006-04-03 06:03:09 EDT
- Open Property Sheet view
- Select an entry with some long value (200 chars for example)
- Try to edit it, move cursor to the end of the string
=> Cursor moves beyond property sheet view right border and edited string is not scrolled so it is not possible to see part of the string around the cursor

This sounds like a platform issue but I'll take a look. The PropertySheet uses a vanilla text control I think...

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
