Description Adalbert Dawid CLA 2006-03-18 07:36:42 EST
When I select some text in eclipse's text/java/whatever-editor there are white vertical lines (similiar to unix pipes) between some of the selected letters. The number (or better said: frequency) of these white lines obviously depends on the speed with which the text was selected: the lower the speed the more "pipes" there are.

Please have a look at the following screenshots:

My environment:
Debian Etch, Gnome 2.12, GTK 2.8.13, Pango 1.10.4, xorg 6.9.0, latest nvidia proprietary driver.

This bug does not appear on Debian Sarge (Gnome 2.8, GTK 2.6.4, Pango 1.8.1, XFree86 4.3) with the same eclipse version, nor does it occur in native GTK apps like gedit etc. on Debian Etch. That's why I suspect this must be a compatibility issue between SWT and newer versions of GTK/Pango.
