Now that we're using SetConfig to generate our serviceconfig.xml file (while continuing to process pluginconfig.xml files), we need to add the ability to generate agent.xml files dynamically as well, particularly for the benefit of our Linux customers.

Right now our process on Linux is to install, run SetConfig, then remember to go edit all the agents/*/agent.xml files to (1) change the agentconfig file specification (which is still needed to avoid crashing?) with something other than "c:\ ..." and (2) to change the ".\agent.exe" to "agent".

Some might consider this an enhancement request, while I expect existing RAC/Linux users migrating to AC usage might consider it a bug of fairly major proportions!

Retarget to 4.4 as 4.3 is closing down with only essential bug fixes allowed.

This is really an enhancement request, and in light of the discussions on plugins vs. "extensions" and the direction of the "IAC", this might need to be re-thought and even perhaps rejected/re-engineered. In any case, that future work needs to move on to the other Eclipse partners at Intel.

As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant enhancements/defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this enhancement/defect is verified/closed by the Project Lead since this enhancement/defect has been resolved and unverified for more than 1 year and considered to be fixed. If this enhancement/defect is still unresolved and reproducible in the latest TPTP release (http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/), please re-open.
