I'll attach a project demenostrating a performance issue in the content assist in the JSP editor. Import the project and open file src/web/customer.jsp. Got to the end of line 6 (after the "re") and invoke the content assist (ctrl+space).

It takes quite some time till the content assist appears. A work around might be to open the content assist immediately and calculate the content proposals in a background thread (lazy fetching).

I'll also attach my configuration.

The interesting thing is that if you remove the "re" and invoke the content assist it appears immediately.
