JFace has added TreePath based content providers and label providers. It woudl save us a lot of implementation effort if the Common Navigator framework supported these content provider types. I will attach a patch that adds this support to the common navigator.

Here's the patch

The patch does not change any API classes. However, it also doesn't pass the tree path, if available, through the pipeline. Stating the new pipeline API in terms of TreePath would give clients extra context that may prove helpful and modifying the pipeline to accomodate this would not be complicated.

Verified by looking at the source code in the 3.4 code.
