When a recorder is spun with a bad classpath, specifically with a classpath that does not contain the RecorderAgent class, there are 2 java processes that get created and hang around. The StopRecording button from the Recorder Control View has no effect and infact throws a NullPointerException.

The Recorder startup should terminate with a suitable error message.

This defect will need to be addressed in i3 since i4 is reserved for critical/blocking defects (see http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/project_info/releaseinfo/4.4/schedule.html).
