Description Nick Edgar CLA 2006-02-06 11:32:37 EST
build I20060131

- compare two revisions of a file with some changes, where the file has only a few lines (e.g. revs 1.2 and 1.3 of org.eclipse.ui.tests/.settings/org.eclipse.jdt.ui.prefs
- it shows the changes correctly in the main viewers, but the change bar at right is blank

Expectation:
- the change bar at right always indicates changes in the file, regardless of file size

In my scenario, I was going through a bunch of changes to different .prefs files in the sync view. The changes were pretty regular, so I would scan the change bar at right for 1 or 2 bars (depending on the file), then check the actual changes. But this process broke done due to the unexpected mode difference.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
