Hi, 
This issue has been "annoying" me since a long time, yet as it merely finds itself in the "annoyance" and not "bug" category, I'm afraid I only take the time now to post. 
It's smth EVERY Mac user will love to see changed though: as far as my Mac experience goes (10+ yrs), Eclipse is the ONLY app on the platform to violate this editor shortcut navigation rule:
To go to the end of a line, on the Mac, is "Cmd+Right arrow"; "Cmd+Left Arrow" will bring you at the beginning of the line.
Currently however, this makes it just just to the "next word" (the direction already being right!)
To jump to the next word, on the Mac however, "Option+Right Arrow" is used. ( & "Opt+Left Arrow" to word-jump leftwards)
This seems trivial obviously, yet if I'd dare to tell you HOW MANY times in a day, heck even in a mere hour this is used...day-in, day-out, you get an idea of the scale of annoyance this is producing. (And not only in Eclipse. I have days I spend 12hrs/day in Eclipse - make a wild guess what that makes me use as a shorcut afterwards in other apps ;-)

As stated in the beginning, I know it's not a bug. It's a "Eclipse" convention if you wish. But one that really really frustrates all users of our platform. Eclipse would so much nicer blend in if it were to accept these 4 basic platform conventions.
