Description Kapil Katyal CLA 2005-12-13 08:42:34 EST
Create a dynamic web project
add a folder under the WebContent folder called imported_classes
modify the .component file to include this line:
<wb-resource source-path="/WebContent/imported_classes" deploy-path="/WEB-INF/classes"/>

Add a class file to the imported_classes folder.

At this point, exporting the application will include the classes in the imported_classes folder however, using WTP smart copy, the classes in the imported_classes are not copied to the web-inf/classes folder

John has a fix, but it is not trivial, will investigate and test feasability of dropping for 1.0.

Added to Hot List at the request of Chuck Bridgham.
I am temporarily untargetting this bug so we can consider it for RC5.

Comment 4 Arthur Ryman CLA 2005-12-15 14:37:25 EST
John - This is a regression from 0.7. We were using the wrong API. The fix is to use the right API and have tested it locally and the originator has tested.
PMC approves.
Comment 5 John Lanuti CLA 2005-12-15 14:59:23 EST
This is fixed for RC5.
Comment 6 David Williams CLA 2006-09-22 21:07:51 EDT
This bug is being moved to the "closed" state since it has been in the fixed state for a so long it is being assumed fixed, without explicit verification from the originator. If there is still a problem, in the most recent 1.5.x builds, please reopen or open another bug.
