Bug 120555

Summary: [KeyBindings] interactions: SHIFT+ALT+R gives Run menu
Product: [Eclipse Project] Platform Reporter: Jon E <jontis73-pub>
Component: UIAssignee: Paul Webster <pwebster>
Status: RESOLVED WORKSFORME QA Contact:
Severity: normal
Priority: P5 CC: pwebster
Version: 3.1
Target Milestone: 3.3
Hardware: Sun
OS: Solaris-GTK
Whiteboard:

Description Jon E CLA 2005-12-13 08:18:53 EST
SHIFT+ALT+R results in the opening of the Run menu instead of rename refactoring, just as if only ALT+R was pressed.

The same behavior goes for other SHIFT+ALT+<key> combinations where <key> is bound to a menu. For example, SHIFT+ALT+N opens navigate menu, SHIFT+ALT+T opens the refector menu instead of the refactor *quick menu*.

Which version of Solaris? Which version of GTK+? Which desktop environment and window manager?
Comment 2 Paul Webster CLA 2005-12-13 13:22:51 EST
BTW: I checked it on Solaris-Motif + CDE, it works there.

Moving Dougs bugs
Comment 5 T.Mikov CLA 2006-08-11 20:32:50 EDT
I had the same problems under Linux, XOrg 6.9.0 and KDE 3.5.0

Turns out this was caused by a Xkb option: "grp:alt_shift_toggle". As soon as I removed it from xorg.conf, everything was OK.

Is this still a problem in 3.3?

A good workaround.
