In workspace preferences, Plug-in Development->Compilers, tab Schemas, it is possible to set the output folder for schema documentation. However, this setting can not be configured on a per-project basis while the documentation files are (by definition) generated on a per-project basis. Moreover, the desired output location can not be stored in CVS because it is not saved in the project's .settings/ directory.

Can this setting be transferred/copied to a property instead of a preference setting?

This will only be fixed if a patch is provided. Closing as WONTFIX.
