Description Karla Callaghan CLA 2005-11-30 17:22:00 EST
On the TPTP website Platform index pages:
New Agent Controller technology documentation will need to replace RAC docs in 4.2. RAC docs don't disappear - they just need to be reorg'd and kept for 4.1 reference.
Comment 1 Karla Callaghan CLA 2005-11-30 17:23:12 EST
should have been an enhancement request
Comment 2 Karla Callaghan CLA 2006-01-12 19:57:38 EST
Added decscription document for this ehancement.
Comment 3 Karla Callaghan CLA 2006-01-13 12:52:53 EST
Setting target for i1 as we will need some portion of this done by then to assist downstream consumers that begin testing with our pkg at that time.
Comment 4 Karla Callaghan CLA 2006-01-24 20:22:33 EST
Added work estimate according to plan.
Comment 5 Karla Callaghan CLA 2006-03-06 19:46:44 EST
Changing target to 4.2i2.

Need to access what changes are needed and prepare some possible web-page re-org options.

RAC and new AC will co-exist in 4.2 (i.e., different platform packages will provide one or the other). From the user perspective, both can appear identical. For those developing new agents or clients, a choice must be made as to which API to use. We need documentation describing these two options and factors to consider in making the choice (bug #130679). With that as a first link - should be able to present old and new APIs side by side. The work contained in this request is to determine how to organize the documentation for the 2 Agent controllers on the web page.

Setting version to 4.2 so it shows up in bug reports for 4.2.
Comment 7 Dale Ollila CLA 2006-04-04 19:31:38 EDT
User doc files copied from \platform\org.eclipse.tptp.platform.agentcontroller.new.doc.user to \platform\org.eclipse.tptp.platform.agentcontroller.doc.user in agreed structure. Per IBM, implementation delayed until i3. Still need to delete content from \platform\org.eclipse.tptp.platform.agentcontroller.new.doc.user and leave a README.txt file identifying what was done and where files were moved.
Comment 8 Karla Callaghan CLA 2006-04-05 12:25:24 EDT
Will be completed in i3 - retargeting.
Comment 9 Dale Ollila CLA 2006-04-05 15:02:06 EDT
Deleted doc content from \platform\org.eclipse.tptp.platform.agentcontroller.new.doc.user and left readme_for_directory_contents.txt file explaining where the files were relocated to. Also left the getting_started.html file because its proper location is yet TBD.
