When you right click on the heap status monitor and select "show max heap" the
area under the menu is repained immediately.  The rest of the monitor can be
repainted up to a second later.  Calling redraw in the action should make this
less noticeable.

There are currently no plans to do this but we would be happy to look at a patch

This has already been fixed in r1.13
