Please make this a P1 Changing priority to P1. Fixed the summary to more accurately reflect what will be done. The RAC is not being ported, rather we need to make the new AC, which already runs on Windows IPF a viable replacement for the RAC on that platform. To that end, various non-AC components need to be ported to the Windows IPF platform so that they can run in backwards compatibility mode. Specifically, we need the piAgent, perfmon agent, logging agent, CBE and BCI to all work on the Win IPF platform. Also changing the owner to Hendra. This feature depends on bug 119571. Guru indicates that BCI (Byte Code Instrumentation) is already ported to all the platforms TPTP currently runs on as well as the IPF and EM64T Linux and Windows platforms, so there is no bugzilla in the dependency list for it. Some items may not complete until i2, so setting this umbrella's target for 4.2i2. Actually I am needing to port the RAC to IPF as we need the RAC libraries for the new AC to function properly in BC (backward compatibility) mode. I'll be sending a small set of files to Samson for review and check-in shortly that I think get us most of the way there. Also rebuilt CBE for Win_IPF at the same time. Retargeting to I3. Feature completed. Agent controller package for Windows/IPF published on download page. As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant enhancements/defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this enhancement/defect is verified/closed by the Project Lead since this enhancement/defect has been resolved and unverified for more than 1 year and considered to be fixed. If this enhancement/defect is still unresolved and reproducible in the latest TPTP release (http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/), please re-open. |
