Description
Tod Creasey
It's not ideal that these still use org.eclipse.ui's dialogSettings, but it's not a major layer-breaker. If we leave it we either have to leave in the core deprecations or reference WorkbenchPlugin directly in IDE. I would prefer the latter if we are going to keep it. So you call is keep it then so as not to break dialog settings? Either way I think we are going to have to change code so we may as well do what we want. The best approach would be to switch to storing these in org.eclipse.ui.ide's dialog settings, but add some migration code in its plug-in startup to copy the old settings over (once). Reassigning bugs in component areas that are changing ownership. Prakash is now responsible for watching bugs in the [RCP] component area. This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
