I just want to view files in the eclipse editor without integrating it into my 
projects. Sometimes, I have to view files, which are not in my current project 
directory (and my boss asked for this service too :-)

This idea has merit. Is anyone interested in taking on this enhancement and 
contributing it to the Eclipse project?
