Description Mike Wilson CLA 2005-08-05 12:20:01 EDT
In some situations, users have workspaces containing hundreds of projects and hundreds of thousands of
files. Scoped builds and working sets have become important tools for these users, and the performance
optimizations done in Eclipse 3.1 have proven helpful. Eclipse should have even more support for dealing
with very large workspaces, including improved searching, filtering, working sets, and bookmarks. This
goes hand-in-hand with ongoing work to discover and address performance issues. [Platform UI,

Could part of this include allowing folders to live as top-level objects in
workspaces, and to include projects? I'd *love* to be able to nest projects
into groups (folders) inside my workspace.

Never mind, I see that bug #35973 covers what I was asking about.

Bug 125654 and bug 113178 fit into this plan item.
Comment 4 Karice McIntyre CLA 2006-02-02 17:16:36 EST
As does bug 74795 (filtered tree).
Comment 5 Tod Creasey CLA 2006-05-29 13:11:45 EDT
We have implemented the improved working set support, related project support (closing and opening of related projects) and the filtered trees to address this issue in 3.2.
