Description Mike Wilson CLA 2005-08-05 12:02:27 EDT
SWT's basis in native widgets is one of Eclipse's major strengths. For this to remain true, SWT must
continue to grow to encompass new mainstream desktop platforms and new capabilities added to existing
platforms. SWT should support Windows Vista, and handle the GB18030-2 Chinese character set where it
is supported natively. [SWT]

To ensure that SWT works well on Vista, throughout the 3.2 cycle, we have been actively running Eclipse and SWT examples on that platform. There have been a few issues in the operating system that have come and gone in different betas. The details of this work can be found in bug 78839.
