Bug 104923

Summary: [quick fix] Quickfix: change adding a parameter for constant uses bad default
Product: [Eclipse Project] JDT Reporter: David Corbin <dcorbin>

Status: CLOSED WONTFIX QA Contact:
Severity: normal
Priority: P3

Hardware: PC
OS: Linux
Whiteboard: stalebug

Description David Corbin CLA 2005-07-23 07:17:34 EDT
public void foo() {
}

private static String THIS_IS_A_CONSTANT = 'x'

public bar() {
  foo(/* ( */ THIS_IS_A_CONSTANT /* ) */ )
}

If I do a quick fix, and select to "change foo", by adding a parameter, the
default name is of the new parameter is "this_is_a_constant". JDT should
suggest "thisIsAConstant" as the default.

Marin, is this name suggestion from core ?

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
