Description Erik Jensen CLA 2005-06-28 06:44:26 EDT
It would be nice to have the ability to link a source file to it's design documents.

When a source file changes an alert icon should appear on the linked design
document until a new version of the document is saved or the alert is cleared
manually.

This could be done using the date modified of the source file.

I know that I myself, and my team, are not the most diligent updaters of design
documentation but feel that this feature would help keep these in sync. Not
just for the original writter but also for any new developers not familiar with
the documentation.

This is a good idea for a external project. We curently have no plans to go in
that direction. We try to keep our infrastructure as open as possible so that
ideas like you just stated are easy to integrate:

- Java model offers change notification
- Java editor suupports links in the document (URLs)
- You can create your own task that will show up in the tasks view and the editor.

As of now 'LATER' and 'REMIND' resolutions are no longer supported.
Please reopen this bug if it is still valid for you.
