Also ... please consider a seperate category for importing/exporting
preferences? (to be consistent with base Eclipse platform, which I think already
as 3 or so categoryies).

While chronologically backwards, bug 192568 *does* have a patch attached to it.  Gabriel, interested in reviewing it before me?
