Not sure if closing the editor is something that we handle or something individual editors need to
implement...
Comment 3 Douglas Pollock CLA 2005-06-23 10:11:15 EDT
Can you please give steps to reproduce?
Comment 4 Jerry Mising name CLA 2005-06-24 00:06:15 EDT
I can not reproduce the bug every time. But it is related with at least 2 open
projects with open editors. And when one of the project closed, the remaining
editors is as attachement. Moreover, in the process to reproduce the bug, it
is better to close and reopen Eclipse.
Hope this will help.
Comment 5 Aubrey Barnard CLA 2005-07-09 00:39:53 EDT
I think I have found a way to reliably reproduce the problem. The following set
of steps should do it.

1. Open a project. Open 2 files.
2. Open a second project.
3. Give focus to the editor of the first file you opened.
4. Quit Eclipse.
5. Start Eclipse.
6. Close the second project.
7. Close the first project.

You are left with 1 open, empty editor with a message about "File blah does not
exist." The editor corresponds to the second file you opened. That is, when
closing the project, only the first editor is closed. The strange thing is that
the problem seems to be related to what editor had focus when Eclipse exited and
the workspace was saved.

I hope this helps. I am willing to provide further information.

(In reply to comment #5)
I doubt it matters, but I should note that I am using Linux-GTK, not Windows XP.
