Description Terry Brugger CLA 2005-06-20 12:54:26 EDT
I'm on OS X 10.3.9 fully patched, running 3.1 RC2. I've noticed the following since I moved to the 3.1
branch, around RC6. When I've been using the Platform (Java development) for a while (usually on the
order of at least a few hours), I'll highlight (either via mouse or shift+arrows) some text, copy it with
Cmd-C, then paste it with Cmd-V, except instead of going into the file that's currently visible (and
where I have my active cursor), it goes into a file that's open, but not visible, in another tab. If I use the
menu to cut and paste, it works fine. Restarting Eclipse always corrects the problem, at least for
another few hours. Sometimes if I continue to work for a while longer (variety of tasks, writing code,
debugging, doing any cut & paste via the menu), it will correct itself after a few minutes.

The only plugins I'm using (other than what ships with the Platform) are SQLExplorer 2.2.2 and
XMLBuddy 2.0.10 .

I don't know if this may be related to bug 100696 .

- anything in .log?
- do you always use the two additional plug-ins? If not could you run for some
hours without them and see whether the problem persists?
