Description Dan Berindei CLA 2005-06-17 04:24:06 EDT
Ctrl+Shift+B doesn't do anything, double-clicking on the marker bar shows the
"Add Bookmark" dialog.

Tested on I20050616.

Confirming in Europa - veeery annoying. Also see: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=158665

A content-type check in the BreakpointProviderBuilder was reversed, disabling the appearance of the ruler menu actions for dealing with breakpoints. The double-click response already seemed to have been working fine in 2.0, though. This change will be in 2.0.1.

There's still a larger issue in that we can't set the *correct* breakpoint for a fragment. The source map used by the server is unknown to us, nor do we know which JSP file is referring to the fragment. Without knowing the JSP file, we can't set the correct class to which the breakpoint should apply.

The bug is still in 2.0.1 and 2.0.2(Milistone) and that's really anoying.
But when I add any valid html tag somwhere in jps, do save and then I can use
breakpoints until I close and then reopen the page.

if you right click on the left hand bar on a fragment you can toggle breakpoint though I have no knowlege of weather the breakpoint will actually work or how to test it. If breakpoints in fragments still do not work I think after 5 years it is time we make a decision as to weather it ever will. But again I am not knowledgeable in this particular area so I will leave that decision to someone else. Nitin?

As mentioned by Nitin, I think we've done as much as we can at this time for this bug. We cannot know which JSP this file is a fragment of, and thus, cannot identify which class to set the breakpoint in.

If anyone has some insight or ideas, we'd love contributions.
